Website URLs and reports

When you submit a public website URL, the service retrieves a limited sample of public pages and stores the resulting audit report. The free audit does not require an account.

Who can see a report

Each report lives at a long, randomly generated address that is not listed or indexed by search engines. Anyone you share that link with can open the report until it expires, so share it only with people you trust.

Emailed reports

If you ask us to email a report, we use your address to send that one message. We keep a record of the request (your email address, the audited domain, the report link, the time, and whether you opted in to updates) so we can handle support questions and prevent abuse. We only send product updates if you tick the updates box, and every update includes a way to unsubscribe. We never sell or rent email addresses.

Partner referrals

If you arrive through a link from an OwnOutright partner, we store that partner’s code in a cookie for up to 90 days and on any report you run, so the partner can be credited if a purchase is made from it. The cookie contains no personal information.

Accounts, codes and tips

When you create an account or ask to sign in without a password, we email you a six-digit code to prove the address is yours. We keep only a scrambled copy of the code, for 15 minutes. We send codes only to addresses that have an account or a purchase, or that are registering right now. If you tick the box for SEO tips and news when you register, we record that you said yes and when, and send them about twice a month; every one has a way to stop, and you can change your choice on your account page at any time. If you do not tick it, we do not send them. Every new account also gets two short emails in its first week: one on day 1 about running the free audit, and one on day 3 with three common fixes. A third, on day 7, explains the paid options and goes only to people who ticked the box and have not bought anything. Each has a one-click unsubscribe, which also stops tips and news.

Paid plans

If you buy a Complete Action Plan or subscribe to SEOPert Pro, we keep your email address, the website being audited, your Stripe customer reference and the audit results, and use them to deliver the reports and email you about them. Paid reports are kept for 12 months (Complete Action Plan) or 90 days per monthly audit (Pro). We report each purchase to OwnOutright (the amount, the referring partner’s code and the website, but not your name or email address) so a referring partner can be paid. When you cancel Pro, checks stop; billing records are kept for our accounts.

Payments and partner fixes

Payments are made on checkout pages hosted by Stripe; neither SEOPert nor OwnOutright sees your card details. Complete Action Plans and SEOPert Pro are billed by SEOPert. For the partner fix service, OwnOutright takes the payment and shares your name, email address, website and report link with the certified partner assigned to the job so they can contact you. If you give a partner temporary access to your website, it is used only for the agreed work; remove it when the work is done.

Usage statistics

We count daily totals, such as how many audits were run or how many reports were viewed, to understand how the service is used. We also count page views per day by page, by the kind of site that sent the visitor (for example a search engine or a social network, recorded as the site's name only), and by any campaign tag in the link. These totals contain no personal information, no IP addresses and use no cookies.

Session and abuse prevention

An essential session cookie is used on the audit, email and monitor forms for request protection. A one-way hash derived from the requesting network address may be used temporarily for rate limiting; the raw address is not written to the rate-limit filename.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard web server logs (IP address, time, requested page and browser type) for security and troubleshooting. The application also keeps a private error log that records the audited domain and any error. These logs are not sold or shared and are rotated routinely.

External services

If configured by the operator, Google PageSpeed Insights may receive the audited public URL for performance analysis. If AI summaries are enabled, structured audit findings may be sent to the configured AI provider. Website page bodies are not sent to the AI summarizer by this application.

Retention

Reports are configured for periodic deletion after 30 days. Operators should run the included cleanup cron job.

Your choices

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. To ask for a report to be deleted before it expires, or for your email address to be removed from our records, email us from that address.
