One or more pages have no title element at all.
What this means
The page title is the blue headline people see in Google results and the name on the browser tab. It is one of the strongest signals of what a page is about.
How to fix it
- Give every page its own title of roughly 30–60 characters: what the page is about, then your business name. Example: “Emergency Plumber in Austin | Smith Plumbing”.
- Set it in your website builder’s SEO settings for each page.
On WordPress
- Install Yoast SEO or Rank Math if you don’t use an SEO plugin yet.
- Edit each affected page and fill in “SEO title” in the plugin panel below the editor.
On Shopify
- For products, collections and pages: open the item, scroll to “Search engine listing”, click Edit and fill in “Page title”.
- For the homepage: Online Store → Preferences → Homepage title.
On Wix
- Pages → page settings → SEO basics → “Title tag”.
On Squarespace
- Open the page’s Settings and use the SEO tab to set the SEO title.
On Webflow
- Open Page settings for each page and fill in “Title Tag” under SEO Settings, then publish.
If you are handing this to a developer
Add a unique <title> (30–60 chars) to each listed URL.
Check it worked. Hover over the browser tab of each page: it should show your new title. View the source and search for <title>.
